Bagpiping!

The Celtic Highland Games are the place to hear the stirring sounds of pipe bands and drummers, and learn a little more about this significant aspect of Highland history and culture. A number of bands will perform throughout the day. Because the pipe band competition is on break this year, the Massed Bands will be replaced by an "audience choice" Battle of the Bands, where each band will play their signature number for the acclaim of the crowd.

Note to Pipe Band Managers: Due to costs, the soloist, pipe band and drumming competitions are on break this year. Performance and workshop opportunities are available for interested bands and one or two individuals. Please contact us with your availability and interest. For full details, see the "entry" page.

Staying overnight?

We have sought out some extremely affordable hotel specials for families that want to make a weekend in the Quad Cities. For details, please refer to this website after April 2.
