Piping and Drumming Competition The Celtic Highland Games are the place to hear the stirring sounds of competitions by pipe bands, pipe soloists and drum soloists. The competitions culminate in the massed bands, a thrilling display of color, sound, and movement featuring all competing bands. Solo contests are held in the morning, with the pipe bands competing in the afternoon.

The massed bands awards ceremony takes place at the conclusion of the pipe band contest. For more details, check our Schedule page as the event approaches.  

Interested in competing? Our events are sanctioned by the Midwest Pipe Band Association. Solo and group competitions are available. Please click on the links below for details on rules and how to enter.

Staying overnight?  

Our host hotel is the beautiful Lodge Hotel and Suites in Bettendorf, Iowa, which is pleased to offer a hotel room special to Games guests. For details, please refer to the Hotel Room PDF on this Web site.
