Travel in your own backyard!

Why fly? You can see the best parts of Scotland and Ireland right in your own backyard! Located off the Interstates 80 and 74, the Celtic Highland Games is a quick drive - and you won't need a passport to experience Scottish, Irish, Welsh, Cornish and other Celtic cultures!
No kilt required - but if you've got one, feel free to wear it!

Saturday, August 23, 2008,
Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds, Davenport, Iowa

Day events: 9 a.m. to late afternoon (about 5 p.m.)

Closing ceremony/Massed Pipe Bands: Events start after 5 p.m.

Ceilidh (after event music / dance party): 6 p.m. to midnight, in the fairgrounds’ Starlite ballroom.

Tickets: You have spoken! We’ve returned to our one-price, all day / all night policy. Your gate admission also admits you to the Ceildih. Hey, we can admit when we’re wrong!

General Admission: $10 (ages 18 and over)
Youth admission: $5 (ages 5 to 17)
Children under five admitted free. (Please let the gate know - it can be hard to tell ages!)

Sorry, the Deadline for Advance Family Pass orders has now passed. No family passes will be sold at the gate. If you ordered in advance, your receipt will be at the "will call" table at the front gate.

However, you can still save! Pick up a copy of the River Cities Reader or Dispatch/Argus and save $2 on adult admission between the hours of 9 a.m. and noon with a special coupon Look in the Wednesday, August 20 Reader and the August 17, 19, 20, 21, 22 and 23 Dispatch/Argus. Original coupon must be presented at gate; no copies accepted. Each adult will need a coupon. (The Reader is free! - Look for it at discerning stores and other locations everywhere.)

And . . . Check the August 13 & 20 River Cities' Reader and the August 17, 19, 20, 21, 22 and 23 Dipatch/Argus/Leader for a $2 coupon off Adult admission, good between the hours of 9 a.m. and noon. Original coupon must be presented at gate; no copies accepted.

Donate! The Celtic Highland Games, a program of the Celtic Cultures Alliance of the Quad Cities, is now a 501c3 tax-exempt corporation. Your charitable donations support Celtic workshops, music, dance, bagpipes, sports, storytelling, family heritage sharing and more!
