Directions to the Celtic Highland Games

Getting to the Quad Cities is easy. We’re on three interstate highway routes: I-80, I-74 and I-280, and several state routes, including US 61 and US 67.

To reach the fairgrounds from I-80 East or West, take the Brady Street South exit # 295A (also known as US 61 South) in Davenport. In town, US 61 south is known as Welcome Way/Harrison Street.

Stay on Welcome Way/Harrison Street South (US 61) to Locust Street. (Look for the Village Inn on the left and an Eye Clinic on the right.) Turn RIGHT (west) on Locust Street and keep driving. The fairgrounds are a couple of miles west on the left side of the street.

Getting to the Hotel from I-80: To get to our official host hotel, The LODGE HOTEL, take I-80 in Iowa to I-74 EAST. Take Exit 2 off I-74. This is Kimberly Road and Spruce Hills Drive.

CAUTION: If you are in Illinois traveling on I-80, DO NOT take I-74 EAST. It leads to Peoria! Instead, stay on I-80 across the Mississippi River into Iowa, and follow the instructions above.

Getting to the hotel from the I-74 bridge, Moline/Bettendorf: If you take I-74, note that I-74 runs east and west through the Quad Cities (not north and south as it appears on the map.) The exit for the Lodge Hotel and Conference Center is marked "Kimberly Road & Spruce Hills Drive." This is exit #2 (from Iowa) and exit #2 west-bound (from Illinois). The exit for The Lodge Hotel is “Spruce Hills Drive” (exit #2 from either direction). Turn left off Kimberly Road onto Utica Ridge Road. The hotel is on the left.

Getting to the Fairgrounds from The Lodge Hotel: Turn right from the hotel onto Utica Ridge Road. Turn right again onto Kimberly Road. You may follow Kimberly Road all the way West to Division Street, where you will turn left (south). Division will lead you to Locust Street, where you will turn West (right). This leads directly to the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds.

As an alternate route from the hotel to the fairgrounds, take Kimberly Road and hop onto I-74 briefly (I-74 East ramp.) Take the very next exit (Middle Road), and turn west at the bottom of the ramp. Follow Middle Road/Locust Street all the way West to the fairgrounds. (Middle Road in Bettendorf automatically becomes Locust Street at the Davenport border.)

Getting to the hotel from I-280:
If you do take I-280 into or from Iowa, use the Kimberly Road exit in Davenport. Take Kimberly Road EAST to Utica Ridge Road into BETTENDORF and turn LEFT. The hotel is located on the LEFT.

Going to the fairgrounds from I-280: On the Iowa side, you will want to take the Locust Street exit. Follow it east. This leads directly to the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds.

If you take I-280 into or from Iowa, you may also use the Kimberly Road exit in Davenport. Take Kimberly Road EAST to Division Street. Turn LEFT onto Division and follow it to Locust Street, where you will turn RIGHT. This leads directly to the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds.
